Itinerary
Day 1 – Munich
After beginning your journey in London and travelling via Eurostar and Deutsche Bahn, you’ll arrive today in Munich. This culturally-rich city is full of enthralling attractions including the historic Nymphenburg Palace and the Deutsches Museum, which is the world’s largest museum of science and technology and boasts over 28,000 exhibited objects. Take the included private transfer from the airport to your hotel and check-in for a two-night stay. After getting settled, take some time to soak in the fascinating culture of this amazing city. Day 2 – Munich
Spend some time today visiting any attractions you didn’t get a chance to see already. Enjoy a visit to one of the most beautiful city parks in the world, Englischer Garten. Named for the informal English style of rolling hills and open landscaping, Englischer Garten stretches from Munich’s city centre to the northeastern city limits and is filled with popular biergartens and eclectic monuments. Foodies will not regret a trip to Hofbrühaus, one of the most famous Bavarian restaurants in Munich. Or, if time allows, take a day trip out to Hohenschwangau to see the stunning and fairytale-like castle of 19th-century King Ludwig II, Neuschwanstein. This fascinating castle actually inspired Disney’s Sleeping Beauty castle and is only about a 2-hour bus ride from Munich. (Overnight in Munich)
Day 3 – Muncih – Ljubljana
Today, you will board the train for a relaxing ride to Slovenia’s capital and largest city of Ljubljana. After checking into your hotel, take some time to start sightseeing. Originally built by the ancient Romans in 50 BCE as a military encampment, Ljubljana is full of history just waiting to be discovered. A great place to start is Old Town, which is home to the 15th-century Ljubljana Castle and lots of lively street-side cafes and open-air markets. (Overnight Ljubljana)
Day 4 – Ljubljana
Enjoy one more day in Ljubljana. Spend some time in the tranquil Tivoli Park and take a tour of the Tivoli Mansion, a Baroque-style dwelling, which features several beautiful sculptures. If you crave architecture, stop by the Cathedral of St. Nicholas. This architecturally-stunning cathedral dates back to the 18th century and is home to beautiful Baroque-style frescos and was decorated by many of the city’s most prominent artists. Other city highlights include the National Museum of Slovenia, Museum of Modern Art, Dragon Bridge and Triple Bridge. (Overnight in Ljubljana)
Day 5 – Ljubljana – Zagreb
Today, you will board the train for a relaxing ride to the beautiful Croatian city of Zagreb. Located along the Sava River at the southern slopes of Medvednica Mountain, Zagreb is full of stunning views. After checking into your hotel, begin exploring all this historic city has to offer. The pedestrian-friendly Tkalciceva Street is a great place to start and grab a bite to eat as it is full of quaint outdoor cafes. (Overnight in Zagreb)
Day 6 – Zagreb
Today, you will board the train for a relaxing ride to the beautiful Croatian city of Zagreb.
