On this journey, you’ll experience some of Australia’s popular yet varied regions. Explore the sights of Melbourne from the Queen Victoria Market to Fitzroy Gardens there’s plenty to see. Spend a day in Adelaide the ‘city of churches’ before witnessing the wildlife of Kangaroo Island in addition to its natural beauty you’ll walk among a colony of rare and wild Australian sea lions. Visit the Barossa Valley where you will go behind the scenes of winemaking and indulge in several tastings. Jet off to Port Douglas to see the Four Mile Beach and enjoy the lengthy strip of soft white sand. Explore tropical north Queensland with the colourful Great Barrier Reef, and visit the pretty town of Kuranda for Indigenous experiences at Rainforestation and its beautiful rainforest surroundings. Conclude your tour in the cosmopolitan city of Sydney where you will see iconic sights like the Sydney Opera House and the Sydney Harbour Bridge, the options are endless as you can venture out to Bondi Beach or take a stroll around Darling Harbour before your memorable Australian Odyssey tour comes to an end.

Days 1-2: UK – Melbourne
On arrival, a private transfer will take you from the airport to your hotel. After checking in, the remainder of the day is free.

Day 3: Melbourne
Discover Melbourne’s famous laneways and arcades on foot with a local guide. See Federation Square, St Paul’s Cathedral and Flinders Street Station before arriving at Degraves Street, a popular pedestrian laneway. Explore the heritage Block Arcade and Royal Arcade, the oldest surviving arcade in Australia known for its elegant light-filled interior. See vibrant Flinders Lane filled with boutique designers, trendy cafés and bars before arriving at Hosier Lane, famous for its graffiti-covered walls. Next, board your waiting coach to further explore the city. See Parliament House, the State Library, Queen Victoria Markets, Law Courts Precinct and the famous Melbourne hook turn. Travel past Melbourne’s Sports and Entertainment district, home to some of the biggest domestic and international sporting events including the Australian Open. Drive along the Australian Grand Prix track and see the GP Pit stop. View the pretty tree-lined streets and Terrace homes, Botanical Gardens and see the Shine of Remembrance. Stop at the MCG with the chance to see some sporting stars during training before returning to Federation Square. The rest of the day is free.

Day 4: Melbourne – Free Day
You’ve a free day today to explore this cultural melting pot. Perhaps you’ll visit the new Southbank area, where restaurants and bars line the bank of the Yarra River.

Day 5: Adelaide
Take an included transfer to Melbourne Airport for your flight to Adelaide. On arrival, you’ll be transferred to your Adelaide hotel and then the rest of the day is free to explore this cosmopolitan city.

Day 6: Kangaroo Island
Discover the highlights of Kangaroo Island on this full-day coach tour. From Remarkable Rocks to playful fur seals, the tour will take you to Kangaroo Island’s natural highlights. Walk on the beach among a colony of rare and wild Australian Sea Lions with a National Parks Ranger. Head to Vivonne Bay for a two-course lunch and spend the afternoon at Flinders Chase National Park. The tour of the park will take you to the rugged southern coastline for a walk on Remarkable Rocks and Admiral’s Arch.

Day 7: Adelaide – Barbossa Valley
Leave the city and travel through the Adelaide Hills to the first winery, Château Yaldara, one of the most photographed historic buildings in South Australia. Continuing through picturesque scenery, cross the world-famous Jacobs Creek towards the heart of the Barossa Valley and the beautiful and historic township of Tanunda. Enjoy some of the Barossa’s most internationally acclaimed wines at the beautiful Peter Lehmann winery with a lunch platter of local Barossa Valley produce. Following a stop at Mengler’s Hill Lookout, head onwards to the next wine-tasting experience at Lambert Estate Wines. The final stop is Wolf Blass Wines, one of the world’s most iconic award-winning wine brands with time to explore the state-of-the-art cellar door. The day blends historical wineries, wonderful regional food, beautiful scenery and the people that make the Barossa Valley a truly world-class region.

Day 8: Port Douglas
A transfer will take you to Adelaide airport for your flight to Cairns. On arrival, you will be transferred along the scenic coastal road to Port Douglas. Port Douglas is the home of Four Mile Beach, an immense strip of soft white sand backed by tropical forest and lapped by sparkling azure blue waters.

Day 9: Great Barrier Reef
You will be collected from your hotel and transferred to the Port Douglas Marina to board your 30-metre luxury sailing catamaran, Wavedancer. Relax in the air-conditioned lounge with its fully licensed bar or soak up the sun and sea under the sails on the deck. Enjoy morning coffee, afternoon tea and a sumptuous buffet lunch onboard. An hour’s sailing time from Port Douglas, Low Isles is set like a jewel in a Great Barrier Reef lagoon, an idyllic unspoilt tropical paradise that appeals to everyone. Take your mask and snorkel and swim gently around the coral gardens where you’ll see curious clownfish and graceful turtles.

Day 10: Kuranda
Your full-day tour commences with a transfer from your hotel to Freshwater Station for check-in. Travel on the historical rail journey to Kuranda, enjoying breathtaking views across the cane fields of Cairns and passing spectacular waterfalls en route. Upon arrival in Kuranda, you will have free time to explore this fascinating village. A short journey brings you to Rainforestation set in 40 hectares of gardens and rainforest. Several unique activities await including indigenous performances and dance, and an unusual amphibious Army Duck for a different look at the Rainforest. An experienced guide will show you unique tropical fruits, and ancient plants and point out a number of native animals as you meander through the Rainforest. Now time to visit the Koala and Wildlife Park. Cuddle a koala (own expense), smile at a crocodile and hand-feed the kangaroos and wallabies. A range of other native animals and reptiles are also on display. In the afternoon board the Skyrail Rainforest Cableway to return to the coast. Be amazed as you glide silently over the rainforest canopy. There are two stops en-route to explore, including boardwalks and the CSIRO Interpretive Centre. On completion of your tour, you will be transferred to Port Douglas.

Day 11: Sydney
Enjoy a final glimpse of the sparkling blue seas and verdant jungle landscapes on a shuttle transfer from your hotel to Cairns Airport this morning. Fly from Cairns to Sydney and on arrival, you will be transferred by shuttle service from the airport to your hotel where the remainder of the day is at your leisure. Perhaps take a stroll around Darling Harbour or Circular Quay this evening.

Day 12: Sydney Sightseeing
Head to the Botanical gardens this morning for a walk with your First Nations guide on a 1-hour tour through the Royal Botanic Gardens to learn more about Indigenous bush foods and how these foods were used traditionally and adapted to the modern plate and palate. You’ll journey through the Cadi Jam Ora garden and learn about some of the hottest bush foods on the market right now, all while tasting some goodies for yourself.

Day 13: Sydney
You’ve a full day to explore on your own. A little retail therapy maybe, or perhaps you’ll take to the ferries and explore Manley or visit Taronga Zoo, or maybe you’ll head out to the Hunter Valley or the Blue Mountains.

Day 14-15: Depart Sydney – Arrive UK
An included shuttle transfer will take you to the airport in time to check in for your return flight.
