3rd April – Brisbane by Bicycle
Head to Hotel to store luggage and head out for your Brisbane by Bicycle orientation tour. The perfect way to clear away the cobwebs from your long-haul flight. On this tour, you visit all of the main inner-city areas of Brisbane, regularly stopping to tell some stories and take photos. You’ll probably make a stop in a gallery or museum (free entry) and stop for an extended morning tea break in one of Brisbane’s most beautiful parks (food and drinks are included). Whether it is about the best place to get some food or drink, where the best local live music is happening or the best way to spend a rainy day, your guide will know and want to share it with you!
4th April – Lone Pine Koala Sanctuary
Enjoy a relaxing cruise to Lone Pine Koala Sanctuary with commentary from your captain as you glide along Brisbane’s waterfront, passing from the bustle of the city’s skyscrapers to leafy suburbs with waterside mountains. At Lone Pine, explore the world’s largest koala sanctuary, discover the Platypus House, feed the kangaroos and wallabies, or watch a sheepdog show. Then sit back and relax on your journey back to Brisbane city.
5th April – Day at leisure
Today is yours to spend as you wish, maybe you found out about a place on the bicycle tour that you’d like to visit? Maybe you could go shopping, visit a museum, or just relax in the hotel – Brisbane is your oyster today!
6th April – In-destination flight from Brisbane to Cairns
This morning, catch a flight from Brisbane to Cairns (if you’d like a more eco-friendly option – give us a call!) and check into your hotel in Port Douglas. The rest of the day is yours.
7th April – Kuranda All-Inclusive Tour
Journey to Tjapukai Aboriginal Cultural Park where your Indigenous guide will show you around the park and demonstrations on Bush life. Enjoy a buffet lunch before the short transfer to the Skyrail Rainforest Cableway. Glide silently over the rainforest. There are 2 stations where you can alight and enjoy a walk through the rainforest. In Kuranda explore on your own – visit the butterfly centre or the local craft market then take the afternoon departure on the Kuranda scenic railway.
8th April – Outer Reef Cruise
Sail to a floating platform above the outer Barrier Reef, to Agincourt Reef and explore the underwater wonderland of brightly coloured coral gardens and tropical fish. You’ll enjoy an included buffet lunch, viewing platforms, and swimming over the coral in a controlled environment. Your air-conditioned catamaran offers a comfortable ride with morning and afternoon tea and snorkelling gear included.
9th April – Cape Tribulation, Daintree, and Mossman Gorge
Enjoy a Daintree River cruise to gain an understanding of this wildlife environment. At Alexandra Lookout, take in the views of the river, Snapper Island, and the Coral Sea. Take a short walk along a rainforest creek before lunch. Walk on a rainforest beach at Cape Tribulation and admire the fringing coral reef from the Kulki Lookout. Visit Mossman Gorge Centre, for an indigenous presentation by the Kuku Yalanji people before a guided walk of this enchanting rainforest environment.
10th-14th April – Hamilton Island
